I declared several goals before. Here's my progress update. This is basically my "Am I actually doing this?" accountability session.

Health

Personal Training Session 5

Went to my fifth personal training session. My upper body shape has clearly changed.

Current limits are like this:

  • Bench press: 40kg × 10 reps
  • Deadlift: 70kg × 10 reps
  • Squat: 60kg × 10 reps

Short-term goals are bench press 70kg, deadlift 80kg, squat 80kg. Working toward these.

The muscle soreness was bad, so I properly resumed stretching.

My Body Is Surprised by the New Rhythm

Sleep has stabilized—I can consistently wake up between 6 and 8 AM. This is leading to good habits.

However, I've been a night owl who woke up late for years, so my body is surprised by suddenly having a regular schedule. Even though I'm sleeping enough hours, I felt somewhat sleep-deprived this past week.

I'm getting used to it now. Humans are interesting.

Quitting Smoking

Not going well at all. No progress.

Work

Thinking About AI Strategy

This week was an evaluation period, which made it a good time to think about the next strategy announcement.

I had the opportunity to think about company-specific strategies using AI, and some pretty good ideas came up. I've already started implementing and rolling them out to the team. A really good flow is being established.

As a fledgling CTO, I might be making pretty good progress. If this plan works out, I think the business will grow quite smoothly.

Automation Isn't Always AI

Implementation tasks are getting automated, and light responses and non-implementation tasks that occur monthly/weekly are also being automated.

However, we don't always use AI. Sometimes we just use GAS functions.

Starting with "let's try automating this with AI" and then thinking about what solution to use—I think this mindset is really good.

Challenge: Code Review Is the Bottleneck

There are also challenges.

The volume of code reviews has increased dramatically, and I can feel that my human code reviews are becoming the bottleneck.

We're discussing within the company how to solve this and applying solutions. I think we're moving toward good challenges and solutions.

Money

Portfolio Unchanged

No movement in the portfolio.

Various political issues and such, still in the red. Watching without rushing.

Duolingo 51 Days Streak

About English learning. 51 consecutive days on Duolingo.

Somehow I made friends within Duolingo.

I'm starting to hear listening pretty well. In video calls with AI, I can now ask questions to the AI from my side. I feel like I'm gradually being able to have daily English conversations.

Closing Thoughts

This week, a big personal thing I need to handle came up. I need to think about how to handle it while keeping my current routines.

Just not breaking the routines I'm continuing. Even when new big things or schedule changes come in, I'm able to take a planned, proactive stance. It's obvious, but I want to cherish these things one by one.

I set monthly challenges as goals, and I achieved February's. I want to achieve March's too.
