[3/7] 2026 Goal Progress: The Path to Full Automation

I declared several goals before. Here's my progress update. This is basically my "Am I actually doing this?" accountability session.

Health

Personal Training Session 7: Exhaust Everything in One Set

This time I went with sets focused on punishing the upper body rather than weight.

Recently, I've also been training at home. Every other day, arm lifts 14kg × 15 reps × 3 sets, side raises 20 reps × 3 sets. I thought I was doing something, but no muscle soreness.

When I consulted my trainer, they said:

"Not enough load. You're getting used to it so you can increase weight. Also, 15 reps is too easy. Go for barely 10 reps, barely 8 reps, barely 12 reps, that line. Don't assume 3 sets—you need to go with the spirit of exhausting everything in 1 set."

Made sense.

I actually pushed to the limit in one set during personal training. As a result, I'm really sore now. This is how it should be.

Fixing Posture Changed My Life

Various changes have come from fixing my posture.

  • Easier to breathe
  • Voice got louder
  • Can think more positively
  • Don't get irritated anymore

I'm surprised how much can change from just posture.

Early Rising Collapsed

On the other hand, my early rising habit has collapsed. Recently it's 8 AM to 9 AM wake-ups.

The cause is clear: I worked until late one night because of busy work. I've been dragging that since. Need to recover.

Hay Fever and Nasal Irrigation

It's hay fever season. I've been doing nasal irrigation recommended by my chiropractor for about 2 months. The more I do it, the more I feel pollen being flushed out of my nose. Really good.

Work

Working Backward from 5 Years, Announced to the Whole Company

I organized what we should be doing now based on working backward from where the company should be in 5 years, and what impact we should make. There was an opportunity to announce it company-wide.

We're now at the "just execute" phase. Feeling motivated.

AI Utilization: 10,000 Yen/Year Became 10 Yen/Month

AI utilization is progressing.

  • Built a skill diagram that gets LGTM in one shot
  • Built my own voice input service

For voice input, I was using a SaaS that cost 10,000 yen annually, but building it myself made it 10 yen per month. Less than 1/100th. You can do it if you try.

Challenge: The Path to Full Automation

That said, there are challenges.

If I'm not awake, if I'm not in front of the computer, AI doesn't move. On days packed with meetings, if I try to run development tasks in parallel, context switching is exhausting. The more volume increases, the harder it is to draw lines.

After all, full automation is what's needed. I want to aim for a world where products ship without me knowing.

Money

Portfolio Cleanup and PayPay IPO

I sold underperforming stocks and participated in the PayPay IPO lottery. Hope I win.

Other tech stocks are gradually rising. I'm looking at it long-term rather than short-term profits, so this week was good.

English Learning: 65 Days Streak, Can Hear Center Exam

Duolingo is at 65 consecutive days. English level is 38.

However, because I can't wake up early anymore, study time has dropped from 30 minutes to 5-10 minutes daily. Not good.

On the other hand, listening ability has definitely improved.

There's a playlist on Spotify with Center Exam listening problems, and I could hear everything from start to finish. I'm also starting to hear listening while reading articles. My ears are definitely getting used to it.

Closing Thoughts

This week was fun talking about body building with my trainer. I can feel the weights increasing too.

And even with AI advancing, I found areas where human involvement remains. This was a big discovery.

Next week too, go to the gym, do English learning every day, don't break the note pace. And continue the challenge toward full automation where products ship without me knowing.
